CNA Classes
Certified Nurse Aide Training Program (CNATP) preparing students for CNA certification in Georgia.
Our CNA classes follow Georgia’s Certified Nurse Aide Training Program (CNATP) standards and provide interactive, hands-on instruction. Students practice:
- Taking vital signs
- Obtaining lab specimens
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Providing good nutrition
In addition, students receive instruction in:
- Safety and emergency procedures
- Restorative care
- Managing patient information
- Observing and charting patient documentation
- Procedures in the event of death and dying patients
CNA training emphasizes patient rights, enrichment of long-term care residents’ lives, and teaching patients to participate in their own care.
Upon successful completion of the CNA program, students are eligible to test for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam. Successful candidates are entered into the State Nurse Aide Registry and receive a certified nursing assistant (CNA) certificate.
Course Length: 3 weeks (extended if attending evening or weekend sessions)
